Andrew Puzder, CEO of CKE Restaurants, Inc., parent company of Carl's Jr. and Hardee's fast food chains, today issued the following statement praising Assembly Republican efforts to keep taxpayers informed during budget debate: 

"California is a state with great potential but as our economic situation demonstrates, we are far from fulfilling it. To turn the state around, Californians need to be fully aware of the budget challenges the state faces. Having information that allows us, the taxpayers, to learn about how our money is spent can help create the awareness and transparency that is lacking. This is why I'm heartened to learn that Assembly Republicans have put together a website that will allow taxpayers to learn about the budget process and provide input. Fixing our economy is not a one-person job. All Californians should be engaged and invited to propose solutions that can ultimately help turn our economy around."
