Helping California Businesses Become ADA Compliant

CalADA Mission

In 2008, the Legislature passed and the Governor signed into law landmark, bi-partisan legislation designed to promote increased ADA compliance while reducing the need for expensive litigation. That bill, SB 1608, went into effect on January 1, 2009.

This website is meant as a resource for businesses to learn more about what new tools have been made available to them as a result of SB 1608's passage, as well as a clearinghouse of other important access-related information.

Please explore the site and see how California is working to help businesses.
