For nearly 150 days , US Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmoressi  has been imprisoned in a Mexican jail simple because he took a wrong turn on a California onramp which forced him across the border into Mexico  while heading to a PTSD treatment facility.

WHAT:
Rally to Demand Freedom for Sgt Tahmooressi
outside the Governor Browns Luncheon
Honoring Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto

WHEN:
Tuesday, August 26, 2014
9:30am- 1:30pm

WHERE:
On the Public Sidewalk outside
Leland Stanford Governors Mansion Museum
800 "N" Street
Sacramento, Ca

After several ignored letters  to various government officials, demanding they use their positions and power to negotiate the release of Sgt Tahmoressi, Assemblyman Tim Donnelly decided to take his protest to the streets when he received an invitation to a legislative luncheon honoring Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.  President Nieto will be honored by Gov and Mrs Brown while talking  about Climate Change instead of negotiating the release of an active duty Marine who honorably served our country for two tours in Afghanistan!
Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, a Blue Star Father, publicly declined Browns invitation to attend the luncheon. Browns refusal to publicly push for our Marine's release during a recent trip to Mexico, or any attempt since  to free Marine Sgt Tahmooressi from a Mexican jail, is unforgivable.

Donnelly announced a protest rally outside the luncheon in order to grab the attention of President Pena Nieto during  his visit.  This sparked nationwide support for a rally to demand the immediate release of Sgt Tahmooressi. Groups and individuals from across the nation are unifying to #FreeOurMarine.

Please bring your U.S. Flags and Protest Signs
Please keep the focus ONLY on the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi
We will meet outside the Leland Stanford Museum, on the Public Sidewalks  to exercise our Constitutional Right to Assemble and Protest

In order for this to be a successful Peaceful Protest, we need to be respectful of our law enforcement, but Loud & Proud in defense of our Marine!
