The Founding Documents and Mike's Suggested Readings of the Month

Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting this important section of my website. As I am continuing this journey of representing the 40th District with you, I have made it a priority to remember those in leadership and government who have paved the way for our great State and Nation.

I also wanted to share some of the readings that I am investigating and studying. It is these writings from those who founded our government that are so important in restoring our government to the way it was intended - a limited government, representing "we the people." These writings will help us understand what was at stake then and now - which is, of course, our liberties and why it is our duty to God, our families, and America to defend them.

So, please, take a few moments to read some excerpts and let me know what you think. Ronald Reagan once said, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free." Remember, we are fighting for our families, our neighbors, our State, and for America.
