Assemblymember Brian Jones (R-Santee) personally delivered to the Governor's office a letter supporting the re-appointment of Daphne Greene as Deputy Director of California's Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation division.
"Deputy Director Green has consistently placed the interests of this state and its citizens as a top priority," Jones wrote. "By any measure, Deputy Director Greene has been-and will continue to be-a fine public servant and steward of the OHMVR."
Jones, who wrote a similar letter in late December, is joining a push by off-road enthusiasts to re-appoint Greene to the position she previously held.
In the letter, Jones cited Greene's ability to leverage "a limited supply of resources to achieve a high standard of success," along with her responsible oversight of the division and her willingness to balance the needs of off-road enthusiasts and environmentalists.
